About Us

The Addison Patients Community of Türkiye is a volunteer patient community, open to people with Addison’s disease and their families, founded to help Turkish Addison’s patients in Türkiye and around the world stay in touch and share information. We have been active since October 2010.

As Addison’s patients, we have to live our whole lives around this condition. Our aim as a community is to make life easier for fellow patients and improve our quality of life by minimising the negative effects of the condition.

Our goals

  • To minimise the problems people with Addison’s disease face in daily life,
  • To raise patients’ awareness of their own condition,
  • To build public awareness of Addison’s disease,
  • To follow up on patients’ rights and social rights,
  • To bring all Addison’s patients under one roof and become an association.

We have no commercial ties with any institution or organisation and no profit motive. Our pages and website are run purely as a social responsibility project, with no financial interest.

Our founder

Our founder, Ahmet Gümüştekin, is himself an Addison’s patient. He started this work as a social responsibility project to close the information gap about Addison’s disease among patients and the public.
